Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the FocusLens browser extension and website (the “Service”), operated by David Deng (“we”, “us”), based in Canada. By installing or using FocusLens, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

FocusLens is a browser extension that tracks your browsing time locally, categorizes sites, blocks sites you choose, and provides focus insights. The paid “Pro” tier includes an on-device AI summary.

2. Subscriptions and billing

• FocusLens Pro costs USD $6.99 per month or USD $49 per year.
• Payments are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• Prices are in US dollars regardless of your location; your bank may apply currency conversion.

3. Free trial (promotion terms)

• New users may start a 7-day free trial of Pro.
• No payment is required to start the trial, and no automatic charge occurs. When the trial ends, Pro features become unavailable unless you choose to subscribe.
• One trial per user. We may modify, limit, or withdraw the trial offer at any time.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation and refund details are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FocusLens. You agree not to resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

7. Legal and export restrictions

FocusLens is available only where permitted by law. You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations applicable to you, including any export-control or sanctions restrictions. The Service is not offered where prohibited.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
