FocusLens (the “extension”) is operated by David Deng (“we”, “us”), based in Canada. This policy explains what data the extension and this website handle. The short version: your browsing data never leaves your device.

1. Data stored only on your device

Everything FocusLens tracks is stored locally in your browser using the browser's storage API. This includes:

• Websites you visit and time spent on each, and their categories
• Your focus scores, streaks, and usage trends
• Your blocklist and extension settings

This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party. It stays in your browser and is removed if you clear the extension's data or uninstall it.

2. On-device AI

The optional AI weekly report is generated entirely on your own device using your browser's built-in on-device AI model. Your browsing data is not sent anywhere to produce it.

3. Information we receive for payments

If you subscribe to FocusLens Pro, payments are processed by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) and Stripe. To create and manage your subscription, they collect your email address and payment details.

• We receive your email address and subscription status from ExtensionPay so we can enable Pro features and provide support.
• Your card details are handled solely by Stripe; we never see or store them.
• We never receive your browsing or usage data through this process.

4. No tracking or analytics in the extension

The extension contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers. This website may collect basic, non-identifying server logs through its hosting provider.

5. Permissions and why we need them

• Tabs & host access — to read the active site's address so we can measure time per site. Processed locally only.
• Storage — to save your data on your device.
• declarativeNetRequest — to redirect sites you choose to block to our local intervention page.
• Notifications & alarms — to deliver focus nudges and periodically save your data.

6. Data retention and deletion

Local data persists until you clear it or uninstall the extension. To delete payment-related data (such as your email), contact us or ExtensionPay.

7. Children

FocusLens is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
